Toyota has refreshed its Yaris and Yaris Hybrid ranges for the New Year, with a new trim line-up.
In line with other Toyota models, the Yaris adopts a four grade structure: Active, Icon, Icon Plus and Trend. Active and Icon replace the previous T2 and TR designations, while the new Icon Plus is designed to offer high-value specification extra styling elements.
Revisions to the 1.4 D-4D engine also make it a more attractive proposition, with emissions reduced from 104g/km CO2 to 99g/km CO2, meaning there is no VED to pay. Fuel economy is improved too, up from 72.4mpg to 74.3mpg.
As standard, there is six speaker audio system, Aux-in and USB, audio controls on steering wheels, electric front windows, height adjusted driver’s seat, seven airbags, vehicle stability control and traction control.
Like the petrol and diesel-powered Yaris models, the new Yaris Hybrid adopts a new grading structure but with different equipment levels. Active and Icon Plus grades replace the previous T3 and T4, with Trend taking on the role of flagship in place of the T Spirit.
In addition to the standard kit of the Yaris, the Yaris Hybrid Active trim includes LED daytime running lights and automatic climate control.
The new range-topping Yaris Hybrid Trend features new C-Pillar decals to create a floating roof look, a rear spoiler, 16-inch Trend alloys and part-leather seat upholstery. Equipment highlights include auto headlights and wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, power windows all-round and keyless entry with push-button start.
On sale now, the new Yaris is priced from £10,895 while the Yaris Hybrid costs from £15,495.
