Finally! The much awaited Ducati Multistrada competition from BMW has finally been spotted . The bike named the BMW S1000f , will be chiefly based on the faired s1000rr and the similarities are clearly visible.
The bike is expected to sport a detuned s1000rr powertrain (visible in the pictures) which should produce almost 150bhp ,this power as expected will be concentrated more on the low and high rev ranges so as to keep up with the bikes adventure prowess . The bike will be placed in the adventure-touring segment , and will compete with the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and KTM 1190 adventure in terms of looks and design.Apart from the mill ,the bike will sport the same exhaust , a taller suspension and ride posture .
The S1000f is expected to come with much more interesting features like Dynamic damping control,traction control,ABS,ride-by-wire,Different engine maps etc so that it can compete with the likes of already proven machines from the Ducati stable.However if its a proper adventure bike you are looking for from the BMW stable we would recommend the R1200GS, a bike which BMW proudly calls the swiss army knife of the motorcycling world.
