BMW m4 2015

2015 BMW M4 Pictures
BMW m4 2015
Just as the M3 Coupe was a 3-Series Coupe with the dial turned up to 11, the M4 is based off the 4-Series but boasts more underhood might, a thoroughly reworked suspension and racier styling. It also packs a host of new technology features and lightweight materials.
In place of the M3 Coupe's characterful but thirsty 4.0-liter V8 is a downsized 3.0-liter inline-six that relies on twin turbochargers to produce 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from just 1,850 rpm all the way to 5,500 rpm. Those figures represent gains of 11 ponies and, more importantly, 111 lb-ft of twist compared to the old eight, with peak torque arriving 2,050 rpm earlier.
Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The standard-equipment stick shift features a rev-matched downshift function and helps the coupe to accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in a claimed 4.1 seconds, while the seven-speed dual-clutch boasts launch control and a slightly quicker sprint time of 3.9 seconds. Also part of the septa-cog's bag of tricks is a "Stability Clutch Control" function that opens one of the clutches in order to quell understeer.
M compound brakes on all four corners and a stiffened, track-tuned suspension keep M4's prodigious power in check. As expected, the M3 Coupe's hydraulic-assist steering gives way to a new, more efficient electric-assist setup with three different effort modes. An optional Adaptive M suspension with electronically-controlled dampers also offers a trio of modes, allowing drivers to prioritize ride comfort or handling agility.
All M4s are equipped with an Active M Differential that keeps tabs on throttle inputs, the rotational speed of the wheels and the car's yaw rates in order to maximize traction.
Thanks in part to the increased use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and aluminum in the body and suspension, the M4 is an impressive 176 lbs. lighter than the M3 Coupe. Contributing to the weight loss are components like the six-speed manual (-26 lbs.), smaller engine (-22 lbs.) and carbon fiber roof (-11 lbs.).

Looking the Part, Inside and Out
Outside, the M4 wears a heavily-sculpted front bumper, a discreet hood bulge and flared fenders all around. Air curtains mounted in the front apron team up with "Air Breathers" - that's BMW-speak for fender vents - to optimize airflow around the wheel arches and improve aerodynamics. Around back, a diffuser with inset quad tailpipes and a Gurney-style spoiler provide both style and function. Eighteen-inch rims are fitted as standard, while 19-inchers can be specified as an option.
The M4's cabin is closely modeled after the standard 4-Series, which means it includes a quartet of simple, driver-friendly analog gauges and a tablet-style 6.5-inch display screen mounted atop the dashboard that displays stereo and vehicle information. Shell out for the optional navigation system, and the screen is upgraded to a larger 8.8-inch unit.
All secondary systems are controlled through BMW's iDrive infotainment setup, which has evolved over the years from a bewildering complex unit to surprisingly simple and user-friendly system. Redundant controls on the steering wheel and dashboard provide alternate means of accessing the electronics.
The optional navigation system is available with Google point-of-interest search and real time traffic information, and it also features a touchpad mounted on the iDrive knob that lets users write out phone numbers, contact names and navigation destinations - and also zoom in or zoom out the map - with a finger.
Setting the M4 part from the standard 4-Series is an M-specific instrument cluster, a sporty three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, sports seats and carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and on the center console. Naturally, liberal helpings of M badging are also part of the package.

BMW Bikes 2015

BMW Motorrad has confirmed the return of dozen models to its 2015 lineup. Most of the 2015 bikes are simple carryovers, with only colorways changing for the new model year. However, the Bavarian marque has made a notable update to the R1200GS, which will now utilize the heavier crankshaft of its GS Adventure sibling. BMW also announced a new special edition version called the K1300S Motorsport.

Uniform Boxer Twin for 2015 R1200GS, GSA & RT

The most significant news in the BMW update is for its flagship R1200GS, which will receive the heavier crankshaft that debuted on the 2014 R1200GS Adventure and R1200RT models. On the GSA the two pounds-heavier crank added 20% more rotational inertia, with a corresponding increase in flywheel effect. During our R1200GS Adventure First Ride evaluation earlier this year, we found the heavier flywheel mass made a noticeable difference, particularly at low-speed and off-road.

Both the R1200GS and GS Adventure will offer Shift Assistant Pro as an option in 2015. This feature, which debuted on the 2014 R1200RT, is a quickshifter that allows clutchless upshifts during acceleration. The BMW system also features clutchless downshifts, during closed throttle. This is another feature we evaluated during our 2014 BMW R1200RT First Ride, finding it a convenient, if unnecessary, addition.

The GS Adventure, which features a taller seat height and suspension than the regular GS, will offer a 50mm (2 inch) lower suspension and a lower seat option for 2015. All three R1200 models will offer Keyless Ride as an option, a transponder system that allows the rider to keep the key in their clothing and still start the bike.

New color options are available as well, with requisite evocative color names. The GS gets Alpine white, Frozen dark blue metallic and Black storm metallic, while the RT gets a two-tone San Marino blue metallic with Granite grey metallic matte.

New Special Model K1300S Motorsport

BMW’s K series showcases the Inline Six K1600 models, but the Inline Four K1300 is still alive and kicking, for now. In 2015 BMW releases an up-spec version with its K1300S Motorsport. Built off the existing K1300S platform, the Motorsport edition upgrades are HP wheels and Akrapovic exhaust, as well as HP footrests. It also sports a flashier multi-color paint scheme: black and white interspersed with blue and red highlights. In other news on the K1300 front, it appears that Europe, at least, will continue to get the K1300R roadster, which has long been absent from the US lineup.

More Options for K1600GT Models

The 2015 K1600GT and GTL models will incorporate BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as a standard feature. The top-shelf touring platforms will also get more options, including the aforementioned Keyless Ride System. The GT/GTL also offer a Daytime running light and Hill Start Control as options. The latter system, which debuted on the 2014 RT, holds the bike on inclines as a convenience for riders. It engages when riders squeeze the brakes in the incline – allowing the rider to work just the clutch and throttle – then disengages once the rider is back up at speed. New colors offered include: Black storm metallic (GT and GTL), Glacier silver metallic (GTL) and Light white (GT).

BNG for F700/800 Series

The only changes for BMW’s F series are in graphics: F700GS gets Alpine white, Black storm metallic/Racing red and Racing blue metallic; F800GS Light white/Black storm metallic and Racing red; F800GS Adventure Alpine white 3 and Kalamata metallic matte; and F800GT Motego blue metallic.

C evolution Scooter

BMW’s C evolution electric scooter model returns. Its only update for 2015 is an accessory comfort seat option, which can also be retrofitted to the previous model year.

2015 BMW K1300S

2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport A Swan Song? 2015 BMW K1300S 03 635x476

2015 BMW K1300S

Mid-year product launches are usually uneventful affairs, as manufacturers basically trying to grab some column space with the reworkings of their previous-year machines. BMW Motorrad is no different of course, releasing information on a number of “2015″ machines that only really have new paint options to show for their model year distinctions.
Some credit can be given to the 2015 BMW R1200GS, which will be receiving the same heavier flywheel that is found on the current crop of BMW R1200GS Adventure and BMW R1200RT motorcycles. This should make the GS a little bit more manageable at lower engine rpm’s, and match the “bold new graphics” nicely in the process.
Another Bavarian motorcycle of note is the 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport, which takes the venerable sport-tourer from BMW, and adds a bit of flash to the machine. The new paint scheme is the most obvious of new elements, and the BMW K1300S Motorsport incorporates a black engine spoiler, tinted windshield, HP wheels, and Akrapovic exhaust. What’s more important though, is in the fine print.
2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport A Swan Song? 2015 BMW K1300S 02 635x476
BMW says that the previous colors of the BMW K1300S will be discontinued after the 2014 model year, meaning the “Motorsport” edition of the model will be the only on the market. This seems to be a tip-off that the K1300S Motorsport will likely be the last of the K1300S design, with BMW surely trying to blowout manufactured pieces ahead of a new model release.
With the BMW S1000F set to debut soon, likely at October’s INTERMOT show in Cologne, the inline-four S1000RR-based sport tourer could certainly be taking over as BMW’s sport-focused sport-tourer. If both bikes remained on the lineup together, there would be considerable overlap between the machines, with the x-factor being how ADV-ready the S1000F would be made.
With spy shots of the BMW S1000F showing a machine adventure-touring styling cues, it’s hard to say what BMW Motorrad is up to, though the original rumor about the machine was that it was BMW’s next sport-tourer. Time will tell on how this all plays out, in the meantime K1300S Motorsport might be last of the K1300S. It’ll be available August 1st, at € 19,950 including a 19% VAT.

2015 BMW S1000f

Finally! The much awaited Ducati Multistrada competition from BMW has finally been spotted . The bike named the BMW S1000f , will be chiefly based on the faired s1000rr and the similarities are clearly visible.
s1000r
BMW S1000F vs s1000rr
The bike is expected to sport a detuned s1000rr powertrain (visible in the pictures) which should produce almost 150bhp ,this power as expected will be concentrated more on the low and high rev ranges so as to keep up with the bikes adventure prowess . The bike will be placed in the adventure-touring segment , and will compete with the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and KTM 1190 adventure in terms of looks and design.Apart from the mill ,the bike will sport the same exhaust , a taller suspension and ride posture .
The S1000f is expected to come with much more interesting features like Dynamic damping control, traction control,ABS,ride-by-wire,Different engine maps etc so that it can compete with the likes of already proven machines from the Ducati stable. However if its a proper adventure bike you are looking for from the BMW stable we would recommend the R1200GS, a bike which BMW proudly calls the swiss army knife of the motorcycling world.

BMW S1000F vs r1200gs

The BMW s1000F is expected to make first public appearance at Intermot in October and much like BMW’s other S series bikes,  is expected to do good in the global motorcycle market . Though not everyone is pouring praises , The Bike should be a worthy addition to the BMW stable.

2015 CAR INNOVATION

Innovations are the fuel of the automotive industry. They serve to differentiate brands, adapt cars to changing customer preferences, provide answers to global challenges and so ensure the continued success of the industry. In the face of ever stricter emissions limits and increasingly scarce commodities, the entire concept of individual mobility is at risk. It will take innovative and affordable technologies, especially with regard to drive systems and materials, to realize the full growth potential of 100 million motor vehicles by the year 2020.
In 2001, Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) published a comprehensive study titled “Automotive Technology 2010.” Since then, this study has become the basis for many strategy discussions in the industry and inspired many of our automotive consulting projects. Six years later, the new study, “Car Innovation 2015,” continues this trend-setting work and expands the technological perspective to all aspects of innovations, not just the technological ones.
A new year always means the same thing! New hangovers, gyms crowded with people trying to keep their New Year’s resolutions, and, something people will actually keep more than a month, new cars! 2014 will see the rollout of dozens of 2015 model year cars, but only a relative handful are completely new. Below is a selection of the most significant and exciting models lighting up dealer lots this year. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are TBA.
2015 Honda Fit
2015 Honda Fit
Don’t let its size fool you, Honda’s smallest offering this side of the Pacific has been busy. Besides an all-new hatchback model to replace their critically-acclaimed outgoing Fit, Honda plans to offer a sedan and micro-suv variants. Expect all-new styling and improvements to the already impressive handling for the hatchback, which will likely be the first to our shores. Honda is also touting bumps to the Fit’s power, efficiency, and standard options. I’ve got my eye on the sporty RS trim level. Although the exact specs for the States-side version have yet to be announced, rumor has it this fitter Fit will roll out in the spring.

2015 Ford Mustang
2015 Ford Mustang
2014 marks the 50th anniversary for the Ford Mustang but the Blue Oval isn’t resting on the venerable name plate’s laurels. The all-new Mustang is a lower, wider, more modern evolution of the icon’s retro styling. The improvements are more than skin deep, with a slew of changes designed to bring the ‘Stang’s performance into the 21st century. With those and improvements to fuel efficiency and interior quality, the original pony car could once again be the finest filly on the track.

 2015 Subaru WRX
2015 Subaru WRX
Subaru’s respected, rally-inspired take on the humble Impreza is back as a sporty sedan.  A powerful engine, all wheel drive, and improved handling hide beneath menacing sheetmetal. Unlike the gold-rimmed, frat-boy racer of old, this new WRX boasts more mature styling, with nary a giant wing to be found - even the trademark hood scoop is more tastefully integrated into the overall design.

Chevy Colorado and Ford F-150
2015 Chevy Colorado and Ford F-150
Compared to the fast-paced world of passenger cars, the world of light trucks moves slowly, with only modest styling and technology changes from year to year. That’s why it’s such big news that not one, but two pickup stalwarts will debut complete redesigns. Chevy’s “small” pickup, the Colorado, has picked up some handsome new styling while Ford’s F-150 (a.k.a. the best selling passenger vehicle in the country) is also preparing a brand new entry. While Ford is keeping the F-150 under wraps for now, expect it and the Colorado to launch new technologies.

2015 Hyundai Genesis
2015 Hyundai Genesis
The original Genesis sedan was Hyundai’s daring foray into the luxury sedan market, and the stately sedan, although derivative of the Lexuses, Benzes, and BMW’s with which it competed, was a competent, high-value entry that put those mainstays on notice. The second generation sedan going on sale next year further pursues the Genesis’s strongest suit, value, while refining the styling and performance even closer to the segment’s mainstays. New this year is the carbon dioxide sensor - the Genesis can sense when your bad breath is making it stuffy, and automatically bring in fresh air.

According to Chief Executive of Bugatti, Wolfgang Durheimer, the vehicle remains missing release the Group Council. Three years of production delays behind the Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 is mighty significant, especially since the Veyron is requried to be made by the last leg. Let’s just hope that Bugatti has a few things up their sleeves to expedite liberation from the car.
Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 Price
The Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 is an expansive and amazing four-entryway hatchback, much the same as the Porsche Panamera. No measurements were uncovered, however its something like 216 inches in length and has a wheelbase of around 144 inches. The 285/35 Z-evaluated tires move on 22-inch edges. Underhood, there’s a 8.0-liter, supercharged W-16 motor making an undisclosed measure of force. One piece of information as to the real snort hailed from taking a gander at the force gage in the cockpit, which goes the distance to 800—since the Veyron’s goes simply past 1000, we expect that would not joke about this will make 800 hp. This, and a speedometer perusing 390 km/h (242 mph), appears to move down Bugatti’s point for the Galibier to be the most effective and quickest four-entryway on the planet. It will be tuned to run on ethanol and gas, despite the fact that we can’t envision that running biofuel is much of a green articulation in this auto.
The official name of the production model has not been provided, however, but a call to provide a production version of the Bugatti sedan should come back as no surprise considering Lamborghini has confirmed the production version of the Estoque and Ferrari have brought out the FF. The competitors did not indicate that the ability to re- close behind the Bugatti, but they illustrate the luxury cars that take advantage of the economic upswing is create by expanding their lineups.
Bugatti has revealed that the interior of the Galibier will feature porcelain trimmings which will be available for the interior of the Galibier. Ooh, fancy. In an interview Kustio Delta haryono with Top Auto Search, Bugatti has revealed that the luscious limousine will get a hybrid option. Yeah, we never thought the words ’hybrid’ and ’Bugatti’ would ever be uttered together, but Bugatti says this option is a must if the company plans to move along with the times and be successful.
Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 Rdesign
The Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 is amazing five door concept. However, even if some of the measurements of the car are yet to be announced, the car is expected to be 216 inches for its length with a wheelbase of 144 inches. It will be powered with 8.0 liter which is supercharged with W-16 engine but the power of the engine is not yet announced. However, the car is expected to be the quickest and the most effective car that you can find at the market. The car will be made to run on the gas or on ethanol even if the latest cars run on biofuel. This powerful engine will provide 1000 horsepower, so this luxury car will have a top speed of 378 km / h (235 mph). Some people say that the car will be working on the two stage style which means that it may use different outfit to run faster with low torque or to have force when it runs at higher speed. The transmission will be programmed but it is not yet known if it will use the traditional program or wet plate grasp. The Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 will have all-wheel drive which will be used together with the carbon ceramic brakes. The entryway and the bumpers are made by the use of the aluminum some of front end structure will use the carbon fiber in order to reduce the weight.
Bugatti 16C Galibier 2015 Interior
The Bugatti Galibier, with a previously confirmed sales date of Fall 2012, may be seeing another setback. Apparently, the brand’s head honchos are experiencing some trepidation over the vehicle not being powerful enough. In the words of company CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, the Galibier is just “not outrageous enough.” The word comes from a source who talked to Inside Line, claiming that despite being the “most exclusive, elegant, and powerful four door automobile in the world,” the Galibier is still falling short of the lofty expectations Bugatti has set for itself. The fear, at least according to the source, appears to be that the Galibier is still not the “conversation stopper” the Veyron was when it first came out. This source’s leaks were confirmed by Bugatti CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, when he stated that the production Galibier was “in its second half of the design phase,” but will be significantly altered from the concept car originally displayed. “I will suggest we continue development, but there will be some remarkable changes from the original concept,” said Durheimer. “The design will be different, especially from the B-pillar back, the ingress and regress to the rear seats will be improved, as will the legroom and ergonomics, the car will be a little longer, and the power of the engine will be at least four figures.” So what’s the latest surrounding the Galibier? Well, top auto search review, production of the car has been delayed until 2015 at the earliest. According to Bugatti’s Chief Executive, Wolfgang Durheimer, the vehicle is still missing the release of the Group Board. The three-year delay behind the Galibier’s production is mighty significant, especially since the Veyron is on its last legs. Let’s just hope that Bugatti has something up their sleeves to expedite the car’s release.

BMW m3 2015

Photo: Picture 4 - 2015 BMW M3
BMW m3 2015

For the latest M3, BMW continues to follow the successful formula it established with the sedan's well-respected predecessors: start with the standard 3-Series and add more power, a more dexterous chassis and special styling. Of course, there's a few new wrinkles this time around, as the M3 incorporates a host of new high-tech features and lightweight components.
Also new is the M3's potent powerplant. In place of the characterful but thirsty 4.0-liter V8 in last year's model is a downsized 3.0-liter inline-six that relies on twin turbochargers to produce 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from just 1,850 rpm all the way to 5,500 rpm. Those figures represent gains of 11 ponies and, more importantly, 111 lb-ft of twist compared to the old eight, with peak torque arriving 2,050 rpm earlier.

Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The standard-equipment stick shift features a rev-matched downshift function and helps the sedan to accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in a claimed 4.1 seconds, while the seven-speed dual-clutch boasts launch control and a slightly quicker sprint time of 3.9 seconds. Also part of the septa-cog's bag of tricks is a "Stability Clutch Control" function that opens one of the clutches in order to quell understeer.
Upgraded M compound brakes on all four corners and a stiffened, track-tuned suspension keep M3's newfound power in check. As expected, hydraulic-assist steering gives way to a new, more efficient electric-assist setup with three different effort modes. An optional Adaptive M suspension with electronically-controlled dampers also offers a trio of modes, allowing drivers to prioritize ride comfort or handling agility.
All M3s are equipped with an Active M Differential that keeps tabs on throttle inputs, the rotational speed of the wheels and the car's yaw rates in order to maximize traction.
Thanks in part to the increased use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and aluminum in the body and suspension, the M3 is an impressive 176 lbs. lighter than before. Contributing to the weight loss are components like the six-speed manual (-26 lbs.), smaller engine (-22 lbs.) and carbon fiber roof (-11 lbs.).
Looking the Part, Inside and Out
Outside, the M3 wears a heavily-sculpted front bumper, a discreet hood bulge and flared fenders all around.
The M3's cabin is closely modeled after the standard 3-Series, which means it includes a quartet of simple, driver-friendly analog gauges and a tablet-style 6.5-inch display screen mounted atop the dashboard that displays stereo and vehicle information.

Setting the M3 apart from the standard 3-Series is an M-specific instrument cluster, a sporty three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, sports seats and carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and on the center console. Naturally, liberal helpings of M badging are also part of the package.
Notable options will include a head-up display, a front collision warning system, full LED headlights, and, on the performance end, lightweight and extra fade-resistant carbon ceramic brakes.
Competitors
The M3 Sedan is pitted against the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, Lexus IS F and Cadillac CTS-V. All three of those rivals are on the verge of being redesigned, with the CTS-V set to move up a size class to allow the upcoming ATS-V to serve as Cadillac's M3-fighter. Despite their age, each model offers a highly appealing blend of performance and luxury.

2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
The next version of the C63 AMG will drop the beastly 6.3-liter V-8 for a smaller, more powerful, and likely more efficient twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 making almost 30 more horsepower, bringing the total count to around 480.
Australia could be in line to get the fastest version of the next generation Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG thanks to a decision to build the all-wheel-drive version in right hand drive.
Australia currently misses out on AWD Mercedes passenger cars – called 4Matic in Benz-speak – because they are only made in left hand drive. That means our high performance E63, CLS 63 and upcoming S 63 have slightly slower acceleration figure thanks to a relative lack of traction from their two-wheel-drive transmissions.
Now a shift in Mercedes-Benz model development strategy means that if features such as AWD are fitted to a particular model, that feature will apply to all markets.
According to Mercedes’ head of research and development, Dr Thomas Webber, the previous strategy was to launch a large number of engine and transmission variants with a new car, then tailor individual market requirements and stagger launches in different markets accordingly.
“Now our strategy is [to build cars] as fast as possible for all markets, including right hand drives markets, as fast as possible all wheel drive, but maybe with restrictions on the drivetrain side,” he said.
“The decision was made some years ago for a full roll-out [of AWD and RHD] beginning with the new upcoming C-Class next year.”
The new C-Class is due in Australia later in 2014 with the AMG version coming soon after. Mercedes-Benz spokesman David McCarthy said the company would look at importing the C 63 AMG.
“The only thing is that it would have to be either all 2WD versions, or all AWD versions, so we would have to make that decision,” he said.
In markets where customers have the option between rear and AWD AMG sedans (not counting the range of performance SUVs) the take-up rate of AWD is more than 80 per cent, according to AMG.
The latest E63 sedan gives a clue as to what difference AWD makes to the twin-turbo V8-powered sedan’s rate of acceleration, and how that would translate to the smaller C 63.
The E63 4Matic will hit 100km/h from standstill in 3.6 seconds, while the Australian RWD version takes a relatively sluggish 4.1 seconds.
The C63 will have a less powerful engine than the 430kW, 5.5-litre turbo V8 in the S version of the E63 sold in Australia, but it remains to be seen whether it will retain its current non-turbo 6.2-litre V8, which Mercedes refers to as a 6.3-litre.
According to Dr Weber, the writing is on the wall for the brawny but thirsty larger engine.
“The 6.3 naturally aspirated engine will run out, because although it’s powerful and the sound is perfect, but fuel economy-wise its time will come to an end,” he said
“With its huge 6.3-litre volume it’s clear the name of the game on the AMG side will be downsizing. They will go into turbocharged engines, the displacement will be smaller driven by regulators.”
AMG boss Ola Kallenius agreed the naturally aspirated engine’s days were numbered, but would not confirm it would be replaced by a smaller turbocharged V8 in the upcoming C-Class.
AMG is developing a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 for the SLS Gullwing replacement, which has begun testing under the codename C190 and is being targeted as a direct rival for the Porsche 911. Whether this engine will be reserved the SLC sports coupe or could make power the C63 AMG is yet to be confirmed.
“It will happen, for technical reasons in terms of fuel efficiency and emissions,” he said.
As we move on in the next five, six, seven, eight years if we want to keep on upping performance while drastically improving fuel efficiency and meet the extremely strict emissions laws, the technical road is downsizing, turbocharging or other charging systems and very sophisticated injection systems that give you superior thermodynamics.”
And while AMG has branched out into four cylinder technology in the 2.0-litre, 265kW A45 and CLA 45, the good news is the C-Class is unlikely to get a version of Mercedes’ twin-turbo V6 in the near future, but will stick with a V8.
“At this point my official position is we don’t have a six cylinder engine in development,” Mr Kallenius said.
According to Dr Weber though, the future for AMG could well involve a hybrid petrol-electric powertrain to go with capacity downsizing, forced induction and cylinder shut-off technology.
“The key question is how fast we will see hybrids or something like this, but as you know we do hybridization on the highest possible level on the formula one side, so why not do these kind of technologies at later times also in super-powered cars,” he said.
Power will still be sent to the rear wheels, though through a traditional automatic transmission and not the 7-speed dual-clutch techno-box in the current C63 AMG . The automaker cites lower costs and a lack of consumer demand for the switch, a Mercedes source told Leftlane News.
The new turbocharged powertrain helps poise the C63 directly against the BMW M3 and M4 pair. Upping the ante even further, Mercedes continued spilling the beans to Leftlane about a range-topping S version that will come with more power, upgraded brakes, and unique visual attributes.
The report continues, indicating the C63 will be offered as a sedan, coupe, convertible, and even a wagon. Of course, the AMG version of each will include performance add-ons, bespoke wheels, stickier rubber, and a sport suspension with a lowered stance. A performance-oriented cabin with heavily bolstered seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an AMG-specific instrument cluster will likely be present as well.
We’re expecting the C63 AMG to make its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show this October with sales beginning the last quarter of 2015 as a 2016 model.

BMW 7 Series 2015

BMW is preparing to roll out the new 7-series in 2015 – with a slick new look, tech galore and two bodystyles ready to challenge the mighty new Mercedes S-class, which has steamrollered all competition before it.
Yes, Munich’s new flagship will again be badged 7-series. The proposed 9-series coupe, shown at Villa d´Este in 2013 and designed by Pininfarina together with BMW´s own Karim Habib, has gone exactly nowhere, and the this-might-be-the-secret-9-series Beijing Show concept (dubbed internally DCC050) was at best an overstyled teaser. There will be no 9-series in the foreseeable future, and that’s a promise.

BMW 7-series: codenamed G11 and G12

Anyone who’d given up understanding BMW E and F codenames may be in for a shock. The 2015 7-series uses yet another letter to keep anoraks on their toes. The G11 stands for the standard-wheelbase 7-series while the G12 denotes the LWB effort.
Although we don’t have any renderings of the new 7-series, we have heard a surprising amount about the look of the new limo. And it’s the extended wheelbase variant which makes the bigger splash. After all, this is the only 7-series model to wear eye-catching chrome accents along the shoulders, sills, grille, door handles and exhaust. Not subtle, but very attractive. A new styling element worth closer inspection is the full-width aperture that links the lower lateral nasal air intakes.
It makes the front end look bolder and sportier. Inside the 2015 BMW 7-series, we find the usual blend of leather, wood, carbonfibre and metal, plus the latest TFT and HUD gadgetry. The cabin is light years classier than the 5- and 6-series’ cockpits.

The oily bits inside the new 2015 BMW 7-series

The new 2015 BMW 7-series, ne G11/G12, is the first BMW based on the ‘35up’architecture which is fully scalable in dimensions, materials and content. Weight problems are addressed and solved by clever combinations of defined-to-measure sub-modules featuring lightweight material mixes.
In the case of the new 7-series, this means that the entry-level versions will for instance use lighter chassis elements, smaller brakes and a less complex cooling circuit than the high-end cars. This saves in excess of 100 kilos over the outgoing model, sources say.

A 2.0-litre 7-series is coming

BMW is investigating a bespoke Efficient Dynamics version to create a 725i powered by a 272bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder which is, if so far only on paper, rated at 40.8mpg.
The new top-of-the-line model is the first BMW to feature the latest 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engines codenamed B58 (petrol) and B57 (Diesel). While power and torque are up by about 10%, the fuel economy improves by a similar amount.
The V8 undergoes a mid-cycle efficiency boost but does not yet follow the cost-saving 500cc-per-single-cylinder formula. What about the V12, you ask? It would not be worth to update it exclusively for the 760i, which finds on average only 4000 takers per year.
But since Rolls-Royce intends to keep waving the 12-cylinder flag for several years to come, the twin-turbo powerplant gets a fresh lease of life. On the hybrid front, G11/G12 switches from parallel to plug-in application. According to the Munich grapevine, the 750h will mate a 345bhp twin-turbo six to a 109bhp e-motor. In an evolutionary step, BMW is expected to upgrade the system from plug-in to induction charging which is a lot more convenient but about 15% less efficient.
The 2016 BMW 7-Series will ride on an all-new platform called "35up" using a combination of aluminum, magnesium, carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and high-strength steel which will make the flagship BMW a lot lighter than today’s 7-Series. It is believed up to 200 kg (440 lbs) will be eliminated which would make the lightest 740i version weigh approximately 1,650 kg (3,637 lbs).
The vehicle will benefit from a double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear setup made mostly from aluminum and benefiting from a new generation of air springs, stereo cameras and road-scanning tech - all for the purpose of providing a more luxurious and comfortable ride.
Besides the usual standard and long wheelbase variants, the next-gen 7-Series is expected to be offered in an extra-long wheelbase variant, just like Mercedes-Benz will be doing with the S-Class Maybach.
There will reportedly be a range-topping sport variant called M750i/M7 featuring an uprated variant of the M5's V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo tweaked to develop more than 600 bhp (447 kW). In addition, a plug-in hybrid 7-Series is also in the works but details are not available at this moment. The regular engine lineup will include a wide variety of four- to twelve-cylinder motors mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox and rear- or all-wheel drive.
Thanks to a significant diet, BMW will be able to install a small 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine while for more power clients will be able to opt for an inline-six 3.0-liter diesel offered in three states of tune and with twin and triple turbo configurations. On the gasoline side, expect an upgraded version of today's inline-six 3.0 and newly developed 4.0-liter V8 and 6.0-liter V12 engines which will also power future Rolls-Royce models.
Following its September 2015 introduction in Frankfurt, the next-gen BMW 7-Series will likely go on sale at the beginning of 2016 with an exterior styling influenced by the Vision Future Luxury concept.
